VAPOUR LIQUID EQUILIBRIUM P-T-x-y script description:

Publisher review:
VAPOUR LIQUID EQUILIBRIUM P-T-x-y - VAPOUR LIQUID EQUILIBRIUM P-T-x-y CALCULATIONS FOR A IDEAL BINARY MIXTURE This being a very basic program for the demonstration of bubble and dew point calculations of a ideal binary VLE mixture obeying Raoult's. The basic purpose of this program is to demonstrate VLE P-T-x-y calculations of a ideal binary mixture and to get related data in graphical form for any such a system. It uses Raoult's law for the VLE calculations, the Antoine equation for the calculation of pure component vapour pressures at different temperatures and the Dalton's law for the calculation of total pressure of the vapor in equilibrium with the liquid.Further modifications required are:1)It can be modified further for non-ideal mixtures by introducing the activity coefficients of the components. 2)Further it can be extended for a multi-component mixture of nonideal behaviour.3)Instead of the bisection method a more speedy iterative method can be used.
VAPOUR LIQUID EQUILIBRIUM P-T-x-y is a Matlab script for Chemistry and Physics scripts design by Suhas B. Ghugare. It runs on following operating system: Windows / Linux / Mac OS / BSD / Solaris.
